Where Do I Find the Document Number?
If the customer has a valid Manitoba driver's licence or identification card, they need to provide their document number to confirm their identity
The document number is located on the customer's:
Valid Manitoba Driver's Licence
Manitoba Driver's Licence Card or Enhanced Driver's Licence Card
The document number (DD/RÉF) is located on the front of the customer's Manitoba driver's licence card or enhanced driver's licence card. In the example below, the number is outlined in red.
Manitoba Temporary Driver's Licence Certificate

Costs
The fees to renew, replace and exchange a driver's licence vary depending on the class(es) sought and the validity period of the licence.
Documents to provide
Licence exchange – Documents required at the time of your first appointment to check your eligibility

Vehicles that you may drive during the first 6 months
Your driver’s licence is valid during the first 6 months of your stay in Québec if you drive:
- a car

Procedure to exchange your licence
Step 1 – Meet the following conditions:

- be a resident of Québec

Step 3 – Go to the service outlet with the original documents requested when you scheduled your appointment, namely:
- your driver's licence from another Canadian province or territory
- proof of Canadian citizenship or right to stay in Canada
- proof of residency in Québec
- proof that you were a resident in the province or territory that issued your licence if you obtained your licence within the previous 3 years

Step 4 – Pass the proficiency examinations, if required
